Today I took Leah’s death certificate to the Building Society and closed her account. I opened accounts for each of the children when they were born. I felt very emotional today thinking of the many trips over the years lodging £10 & £20 after birthdays and Christmas.
Leah was careful with money and believed in “saving for a rainy day”. However she was also generous and gave where she saw a need.
The member of staff who came to serve me lives quite near to us and recognised me straight away. This spared me having to explain my situation as she already knew it. This was a great relief to me – God’s provision in my moment of need.
I was pleased that they let me keep her investment book.
